The Médoc is a vast wine region stretching 80 by 15 kilometers along the left bank of the Gironde. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot are examples of quality wines that make the region internationally renowned.

In short, a trip to one of the nearby chateaus for an introduction to various wines, a visit to the cellars, a tour through the vineyards, and possibly a tasting at the castle are naturally within reach.
